Because I am so consistant I have got the job of testing clubs for all the major golf club manufacturers. Because of that I was never fitted for what my best shaft stiffness should be. Of course it did not make a lot of difference because I never play golf courses for score only hit balls for testing the various golf club components and balls. However, during one of my test programs where Lotus golf, was involved with Tom Stites and Nicklaus Golf, I was fittied for the proper shaft. This occured when I was testing a 260 CPM shaft/sitff and was hooking the shot on every swing (my consistantcy). The fitting with Lotus Golf's FitChip system said I needed a 221 CPM shaft/low Seinors. With This shaft I hit every shot absolutly straight and with 12% more distance.

I really liked the results and this would be the shaft I would choose to play if I ever got a chance to play a game of golf. The FitChip fitting system is something special to be able to pick the correct shaft for any swing but for now, I must go back to work hitting balls and testing more golf clubs. The curse of being so consistent.

I love the driver I bought from you guys in early ’08, and the rescue clubs and KZG irons are working well. Clearly the shaft is good for me.

Given what I already have, what would you recommend I get if I wanted to ad a second driver with a lower ball flight and more run out? I don’t need two heads or two shafts, or any of that stuff, I just want to add a 2^nd driver to my collection that I can use on those 20 mile an hour days, and when I go to Ireland next month.

Do you recommend a 2^nd Vector, or another club you sell?

I was demoing a driver from Lotus Golf (FitChip), with a shaft matched to the way I load and unload the shaft, and I've been hitting about 9-10 fairways per round, up from 2 or 3.

I was hitting it so well, I brought out 2 other drivers I've used over the years, and I hit 1 or 2 fairways with those. Went back to the fitted demo, and went back up to 9 or 10.

I finally ordered one after that kind of results. I played in a scramble the day after it arrived, and hit 9 of 14 fairways, including being able to reach a par 5 with a 4-iron after one drive. I played with it at my home course last Saturday and hit 7 of 11 fairways (I hit driver 11 times).

In fact, I was so impressed with their fitting, I shipped my irons to them last week to be reshafted. I'm anxious for them to come back!

You have changed my golfing life! I never would have believed that swing frequency shafts would have made that much of a difference in one's golf game unless I experienced it for myself.

My driver is going between 20 and sometimes 40 yards farther than what I used to hit with my old shafts. Now that's almost unbelievable ! The fact is that I am now hitting it far enough to be able to hit any green at Fiddlesticks and I will surely be able to do the same at my home club up north. Bob O'Link (which is my home club) has six par 4 holes which are over 400 yards long. I am looking forward to going up north and startling many of my friends with my knew found distance and accuracy. By the way, as you well know my accuracy has greatly improved and I am now hitting many more fairways than before. These new results have caused Tony Aurelio and a number of other golf friends to become believers in your technology.

Dear Mr. Hackman,

I just wanted to thank you for the great job you and your staff did in helping me buy the correct driver for my son Chris.  Chris wanted a new driver (one more up to date than his Callaway Steelhead) and mentioned that he wanted to go to one of the national retail golf stores.  Being familiar with your fitting system, Fit Chip, I recommended that he meet with you so he could be measured for a driver that fit his swing.  I was concerned that if he bought a generic club it would not be the right club for him.

We met with Mike one Saturday and he measured Chris' swing with the FitChip.  The results from the FitChip were loaded into your computer and you selected the recommended shaft that fit his swing.  While we were there, Chris was actually able to test the recommended shaft because of your specially designed screw on heads and shafts.

Based on the testing of the sample club, I decided to order the new driver for him and picked it up a few days later.  The day before Chris was to leave for college, we played golf at Scioto Reserve.

When we first arrived at the course we went to the practice range to warm up.  While warming up, Chris came over to me and said “Dad, I can't hit this driver”.  Being a little irritated and thinking I had just wasted another $200 on a club that didn't work, I told him to keep trying it and maybe he would get used to it.  Chris responded to me, “But Dad you don't understand.  I am going to hit the houses located at the far end of the practice range if I keep hitting it”  That was my first indication that the club was a winner.

That day on the course, Chris hit some amazing drives.  On hole number 9, a 390-yard par 4, his drive was approximately 43 yards from the middle of the green.  I figure his drive had to be in the range of 340 to 350 yards.  All of his drives that day were straight and I would estimate that most were in the 280 to 320 yard range.  The only problem Chris had that day was hitting his tee shot too far on a hole that was a dogleg left. Thanks again for your expertise.  

I was so impressed with what you did for Chris that I just ordered a new driver for myself.

I just wanted to thank Jeff, Sean and Bryan for all their help. I am so pleased with my Driver, 3 wood and irons that they put together for me.

I was playing very well before coming in to your store and I can not believe how much better I hit the ball now. I honestly have gained 30 yards on my drive which sounds impossible but true. I was averaging 270 yards with a max distance of 310. With the new shaft they put in, I average 290 and have hit it 340 yards. My 3 wood is also very straight and long. I hit it around 270. It is very hard for someone at my level to gain so much, but with your fitting technology and great shafts, I was able to gain both distance and accuracy.

Sean and David,

I want to say "thanks" for the free driver fitting while I was at Huntington Beach last week. The shaft that I bought from you has made a tremendous difference in my driving accuracy. I've hit 1.5 buckets of balls with the newly shafted TM580. Just as Sean said, my drives have straightened considerably. It did take me a few practice shots to get over the feeling of not "letting go" in order to not go right. Also as Sean said would happen, I did lose some yardage at first. I've actually gained yardage now that I don't hold back as much. I've always heard that if you slice a more flexible shaft helps correct that somewhat. Going to an X flex shaft after using a R flex for so long seemed like opposite overkill but it wasn't. It was the perfect flex for my very late shaft loaded swing. My wife doesn't golf but walks with me occasionally when I golf. She noticed immediately how much straighter I'm hitting the ball. I absolutely believe that your fitting
method is the best.

Hi Bryan, just a note to let you know that I am really pleased with the shafts in my Irons and Driver. I was somewhat skeptical when I first heard about your services because I had always thought that "swing speed" was the primary determinant for shaft flex. Had I continued on that path, I would NEVER have had the shafts you recommended put into my Irons and Driver.

However, after a few months, I'm just as pleased, if not more, than I was when I first got the new shafts. The same seems to apply to the others that I know have used your services, too. The shafts that you recommended and put into my Irons and Driver continue to perform at a level above anything I have experienced before them, and believe me, I tried many! It's sometimes hard to express, but as a friend says, "they are just easier to hit".

Thanks again, and once I get my new fairway woods, I will be bring them down so you can put the correct shafts in them, too.

Dear David,

Thank you for making my new driver, the Vector 370. I played the Callaway Steel Head III for a year and was very happy with the accuracy but gave up distance. I switched to the Taylor Made R540 for the past 3 months and got more distance but gave up accuracy (despite the press on it). I came to you to have my Taylor R540 shaft frequency evaluated because it was very hard to hit. (You found the frequency of my "Regular" shaft to be 225 -- whippier than a senior shaft).

In short, you built me a custom driver with the Vector 370 head and a shaft frequency tuned to my swing for half the cost of my Taylor Made. I began using it at Aviara last weekend and am AMAZED at the combination of distance and accuracy. I can hit it straight down the middle over 300 yards. Even my mishits off the toe went 260 straight down the middle.

I used to be a 250 yard driver but with your driver, I'm hitting it long like the young guys (I'm 47). The best part is the incredible accuracy. I even have the confidence to aim to specific spots on the fairway and hit it there 90% of the time.  Last weekend I hit 14 out of 14 fairways. Your driver is the most accurate, long distance, soft feeling club I have ever used. Thank you!

I have been playing golf for about 8 years and play to a 13 hcp from the senior men's tees. I have been using the Taylor Made Ti 320 driver for the last three years. In the last couple of months, I have switched to the Vector Beta Ti 444 driver because it gives me about 20 - 25 yards more on my drives and has enabled me to get on in regulation on long par 4's (360 - 380 yards with dog legs and hills). I demo'd the Taylor Made R580 driver as well and found that the Vector 444 driver with the shaft fitted for me by Dave DuGally at Golf Coast Equipment in Huntington Beach, CA gave me better results for length and consistency.

I have had you build a set of clubs for me and they are great. I would like to see a picture of the muscle back irons that you sell. They do not show up on your website. And please include pricing for a complete set with my spec's.

When I hit the clubs they are wonderful!
When I don't hit them correctly they are almost like the previous clubs when I hit them properly...I believe that when I hit the club properly it is ~20 yards farther than the previous one.

I'm hitting at least 4 times a week so I'm working at it...

Ok I recently had my first experience with a clubmaker who put this little thing with a digital screen (FitChip) on my driver shaft and had me record certain readings. The readings ranged form 285-315. The clubmaker then picked out a shaft stiffness for me (he said it was a 278 or something like that). And this club has turned out to be excellent. I hit it about 15-20 yards farther and my mishits are no longer off into oblivion, but more often than not, within a playable range which is so much nicer. I have since had him re-shaft my fairway woods and build me a set of irons as well which I will be picking up next week.
